DINAMIC 70N briquette machine can compress dry chips, sawdust and powders (min. 8/ max. 17% moisture) into briquettes for burning and recycling.
Briquetting is the compressing of materials into small logs with a diameter of between 5 and 10 cm and of any length depending on the briquette technology used. The materials are simply compressed without the addition of glues or additives. The compressing of the material takes place using a high pressure hydraulic system. Generally the material used must have a residual humidity of no more than 14% and be no more than 30mm long to allow it to fall easily into the loading system. The operation of loading can be either manual or automated.

Wood is a natural product which - highly compacted as a briquette or as a pellet - almost takes on the burning behaviour of coal. Owing to the high density, briquettes or wood pellets have double the calorific value of the equivalent quantity of firewood.
They can be used instead of coal or wood in domestic stoves as well as industrial heaters, giving the added advantage of minimal waste after the combustion process, much cleaner boilers and lower cost than other energy sources.
In addition, making briquettes or pellets reduces the volume of the waste, saving on storage & haulage.
Wood Briquettes and wood pellets are increasingly gaining importance as an alternative energy source for heating and power generation because of the reduced environmental impacts associated with the use of fossil fuels. Burning wood briquettes or pellets as fuel is carbon neutral - on combustion they only release as much carbon dioxide back into the atmosphere as was originally absorbed by the growing trees during photosynthesis.
The most frequent applications for this type of fuel are of both a domestic and industrial nature; from fireplaces or stoves to boilers generating hot water and steam, from kilns or wine distilleries as a fuel to use in the production process, to textile industries, farms and gasification for the production of electricity.
BRIQUETTING PROCESS
The briquet is the result of a process of material compression that is characterised by a massive increase in density. The briquets have double the density of the loose biomass material. The porosity of the briquet is much lower that the loose biomass material and consequently the live coal produced during the combustion is a lot more dense that the one produced from the combustion of the wood or from the non pressed biomass material.
The briquets also have an incredible thermal power, withholding the heat for a longer period of time, keeping a high temperature inside the burner of the boiler so to grant an easy combustion of the new incoming fuel.
BRIQUETTING NOT ONLY WOOD WASTE...
The current economic environment and ecological considerations demand innovative solutions from all types of industries. Low-cost reprocessing and recycling of waste materials are becoming more and more important due to ever tougher statutory requirements for dumping of waste materials, and the continuous increase in the cost of waste disposal. The technical solutions are now available for:
